Kylemore Abbey and Connemara
Today we took a tour bus to a region above Galway County called Connemara. It is covered in stone fences, old cottages, and bogs. There are not many trees in the region, many of them were cut down to make ships. We passed many lakes (one of which P.S. I love you was filmed at) and also the owner of the Titanic's house. Our tour bus had to stop many times for sheep to cross the road. After a beautiful 1.5 hour drive, we arrived at Kylemore Abbey. It was built to be a castle but then turned into an Abbey when it changed owners. Currently, it is a school run by the Benedictine Nuns. The weather couldn't have been better, blue skies and no rain.
